Today, we are pleased to announce that top Holcomb and Indiana Republican Party alum Joe Elsener has joined Hathaway Strategies as vice president and longtime company principal Tim Phelps has been elevated to senior vice president.

Immediately prior to joining Hathaway Strategies, Elsener was executive director of both the Indiana Republican Party and of Holcomb for Indiana. He previously served as deputy campaign manager for Governor Holcomb’s 2020 re-election campaign and earlier as director of intergovernmental affairs in the Holcomb administration. Today he serves as the chairman of the Marion County Republican party.

At the same time, longtime Hathaway deputy Tim Phelps was elevated to serve as the company’s senior vice president.

“I have worked side by side with Tim Phelps for nearly two decades, first at the Republican National Committee and now at Hathaway Strategies,” Hathaway added. “His leadership and wise counsel have benefited both our dedicated clients and this company, helping it become what it is today.”

Tim Phelps joined Hathaway Strategies in 2010. He previously served as director of special projects for the Republican National Committee political division and as senior advisor for the Michigan Department of Attorney General. He serves as the President of the Indianapolis Downtown GOP Club and as a member of the Indiana State Fair Board.
